The rain stopped long enough today to cast a beautiful diffused light over the Lauren Manoogian Spring 2019 presentation.

patina. accumulation. fragile. texture. wearing. glaze. raw. fold. immaterial.

Those were just a few of the thirty-something words written on the shows single page show notes. Models adorned in lightweight knits strolled along a custom clay pathway and took their places among vessels from artist Zachary Armstrong. The sculptural woven dresses looked like life-size versions of their ceramic counterparts. A new wave of handbags felt fresh and utilitarian. Manoogian’s simple yet impactful woven presentation proves that she can do more than just knits. Looking forward to wearing these pieces come Spring.
