To Listen // The Museum of Arts and Design honors women through a new exhibit entitled Pathmakers.  Featuring artists and designers from the mid-century to today who made pathways for future women designers and artists. Alongside the exhibit they are also hosting a handful of New York based designer discussions featuring Rachel Comey, Starr Hout and Laura Cramer of Apiece Apart, Mona Kowalska of A Détacher and Ryan Roche. Last night Rachel Comey kicked off the series with an informative and inspiring discussion. Check in over the weekend for highlights of last night’s chat and be sure to buy your tickets for the remaining talks here.

To Learn and Beautify // The bi-annual beauty, wellness, wisdom event returns to the beautiful ABC Home tomorrow. Learn about the importance of clean beauty through a full day of workshops, discussions, mini-facials, massages, hair styling and so much more. Read about last season’s event here. Purchase tickets for tomorrow’s event here.

To Watch // Documentary filmmaker, Alison Chernick took on the challenge of making a film about the ever elusive and always anonymous designer, Martin Margiela. The 12 minute video is made up of old runway footage and current interviews of industry leaders about Margiela. You may even get a quick glimpse of him at the end of the film. The Artist is Absent is available to watch exclusively on Yoox.com.

To Visit // The new Whitney Museum opens to the public today, and its new Meatpacking location feels more fitting for their modern and contemporary American art collection. With impressive architecture by Renzo Piano and new exhibits including Yuji Agematsu: Walk on A, B, C and America is Hard to See opening this week, I couldn’t think of a better time to visit this museum. (image via Buro 24/7).

To Collect // Acne Studios teamed up with famed sculptor, Peter Schlesinger to publish a retrospective book featuring his work and designed a two-part capsule collection inspired by the organic shapes often found in his pottery. In addition to the limited addition book, Acne is also selling a few select sculptures by Schlesinger.
