29 Nov November Design Inspiration
As winter rolls into New York, I can’t ignore that comfort and warmth are on the forefront of my design mind. My November design inspiration comes from mixing materials and using simple design details for the greatest effect. Using a mix of charcoal grey felted wool and silk satin, this month’s design is all about the delicate balance of luxurious comfort.
My November design was inspired by simple lines and juxtaposing fabrics. Charcoal heather grey felted wool and black silk satin are a match made in sartorial heaven. Silk satin elevates the casual element of the heather grey wool in the same way my new Proenza Schouler patent loafers elevate a wool trouser. In all of my designs I try to focus on versatility and comfort and this top hits both marks. I love the ease of the forgiving silhouette and the ability to wear this top as casual as a sweatshirt, or dress it up to wear to a party.
