October List

October is the official start to Fall, and this is what’s on my mind this month…

To Wear // In an effort to avoid pulling out the cold weather coats just yet, I’ll be rocking the knotted sweater tied around my neck. But not in the preppy, country club way… more like the Christophe Lemaire, effortlessly cool kind of way. This look works best when you keep it neutral and tonal… done and done.

To Do // Earlier this week I shared my first White Shirt DIY, and this month I continue the crusade to change up the most basic staple. Stay tuned to see what designer (and what overwhelming trend from the Spring 2015 runways) inspired this month’s White Shirt DIY.

To Prep // Halloween is all about transformation, but there is no need to buy a costume. This month I’ll be sharing costume ideas that you can find right in your closet. Don’t expect anything too scary, I usually err on the side of stylish, pulling inspiration from style icons and pop culture… For example, a Chanel protester from the Spring 2015 runway show would make a great costume… (image via @fashionspirit)

To Drink // Who doesn’t love a little bubbly? From October 3-13, the first annual Tour de Champagne will be held in the Meatpacking district. Throughout the 10 days, local businesses will host events and activities based around Champagne, while the restaurants will offer a curated selection of tasting menus. Visit their site to start planning your champagne filled week!
