It’s no secret that camouflage and military basics are turning into the key separates for every season, remember when I wrote about it here? Anyway, last weekend I did a little thrifting with Elizabeth from The Note Passer and I scored some amazing military basics to add to my wardrobe. With the military pieces I have, it’s all about playing with proportion because none of them were really meant for me, they were meant for men (or boys). Here are my 3 ways to wear military basics.
Utilitarian- First up, this slightly slouchy camo jacket which is perfectly worn in and makes for a great topper when it rains!
Worn with American Apparel Tee / Helmut Lang pants / H&M shoes. Thank you Steven, for taking this photo!
With a feminine touch- Since these vintage military pants are clearly for men, I opted for an uber-feminine flirty blouse to soften the look. For another way to wear this pant, go over here.
Worn with Rebecca Taylor blouse / Marni Clogs / Elizabeth & James Sunglasses
Uniform Update- This little boy’s vintage camouflage tee fits like a crop top, so I paired it with high-waisted Acne jeans for an instant update to my basic jeans + tee uniform.
