Much like creating a work of art, perfecting a distressed denim wash takes patience and tons of trial and error (believe me, I know). For Spring 2013, I couldn’t help but think my Top 10 Distressed Denim picks (and one killer Kenzo sweater) took inspiration directly from Michael Chase’s textural photographs.

I love that jumper – it fits in beautifully with the distressed denim trend and would be perfect thrown on over a midi dress or skinny jeans.
I’m more likely to wear oversized jumpers with jeans/trousers at the moment – we’ve had some snow here in the UK and it’s chuffing freezing! *brrr*

I am in LOVE with the way that you put the textures next to the denim.
Everytime I do a post, I always include the textures of the items around me (and honestly, they’re more fun to photgraph than myself).
The idea of mixing clothing with the patterns and surroundings around it is so inspiring to me, and to see you do it here convinces me that I’m not the only one who finds it alluring.
I just think that this is so incredibly creative, and kudos on really thinking out of the box!

The way your compared the denim to an image is quite intriguing. This post made the wheels in my head start turning!
Congrat’s on making it onto the IFB List!

Great pairings. A more interesting way to look at denim.
Looks like I should save the pile of my boyfriend’s worn out jeans after all!
I love all these jeans and the graphics. Gorgeous picks!
