Every year I make resolutions about the same things; being more active, staying creative and changing the course of my career. This year, I feel like 2 out of those 3 things are already underway and being more active is always a challenge for me…. So I thought my 2013 resolutions should revolve around fashion.
1. Find new in the old- I resolve to keep my shopping to a minimum while putting new looks together from my overflowing closet of already purchased apparel and accessories.
(this look was from Christmas day, comfy chic – tom scott sweater /gar-de long sleeve tee / t by alexander wang skirt / h&m tights /LD Tuttle Boots / Christmas gifted watch, thanks Mom!)
2. Fill in the holes- I resolve to fill the holes of my wardrobe by handcrafting pieces of my own designs from my fabric archive. In 2011 I made 1 garment a month for the entire year – Project de.- and I am bringing it back for 2013.
(my 1920′s inspired dress I made yesterday and wore last night to ring in the new year)
3. Play with prints- I resolve to take more risks with wearing prints this year. Adding more prints to my wardrobe will be inevitable if I keep up resolution #2 because my arsenal of fabrics consists mostly of quirky vintage patterns.

Happy and even more Stylisn New Year!!!!
