Chunky sweaters don’t have to be worn with skinny jeans everyday, my new favorite fall look is simple: Chunky Sweater + Flare Skirt + Bootie. Perfect parts “I just threw this on” and “I look totally put together.”
To make this look work, it’s all about proportion. Your sweater can’t be too oversized and your skirt can’t be too short. You want your sweater hem to sit slightly above the start of the flare on your skirt. Make sure your skirt isn’t shirred or pleated at the waist, it will just add unflattering bulk under your sweater. The skirts I chose here are all flat at the waist and flared at the hem, making them ideal for layering. Your skirt length should hit above the knee to keep the look young and fresh. These perfect pairings will have you looking effortlessly put together for Fall.
